Telemachus needs to speak to Nestor to ask about Odysseus. He has difficulty since he is not accustomed to talking to men of nobility. Athene calms Telemachus and tells him to have faith in himself and in the gods, who have always looked out for him. In the past, I have struggled with believing in myself. I always focused on people who were better than me. When I went to All-State Orchestra for the first time, I felt I was incompetent because I did not normally play with other students in an orchestra setting. My violin teacher showed me that when I have faith in myself, I felt more confident when I played, which made my music sound better. Over time, I have grown to love my abilities, so I will continue to believe in myself and play confidently.
